Time of Day…a Triolet

Time of day rules all we might do
from First Light to the End of Night.
The morning birds bid us rise up…
Time of day rules all we might do–
sleep, eat, play, go here, do it now
just follow the clock round in time.
Time of day rules all we might do
from First Light to the End of Night.

      1. Yes, I find this one challenging but most satisfying especially when I get the rhythm, meter, rhyme and refrain nicely balanced…. 🙂 Hugs!

      2. I agree. I too like the rhythm of the Triolet. I checked my library downstairs, NOT ONE book on writing poetry except in a text book “Sounds and Sense” but it deals with reading and interpreting poetry, not writing it. There is a lot of info online, but I enjoy having a real book. 🙂

    1. Yes! I now put writing ahead of anything else…at last. For years it was a special reward that never came. 🙂 You and I have curiosity in common…I wish I could learn everything! 🙂
