of course you can! I thought the same thing a few months ago before I took the poetry 101 course…its really fun. Just try it on one of these poetry-writing sites. There are so many forms…stuff I never heard of…and I just love doing it. Haiku rules are easy… 5 syllables, 7, then 5 again.
