If you used roller skates, I’m sure you’d get plenty of attention. 🙂

I used to roller skate, actually…not very adept at it, but I could turn and skate backwards, forwards and avoiding breaking anything…it was fun. I always fantasized about being a dancer…Miss Clumsy herself…haha.

That’s pretty good! All I could ever manage to do wearing them was fall over. 🙂

nah, I could go around the circle for minutes, counting on the wall if I needed to stop. The music was old organ music…loud and mundane. I can’t think of a single example. 🙂

I’m sure a wall would make a very effective braking system. 🙂

yeah, well the tricky part of skating was turning gracefully, the walls notwithstanding. (my favorite word, hard to fit into a comment…haha)

I can see turning being tricky, but also necessary given that walls won’t usually get out of the way.

no, no, ya dont want the walls to get out of the way, the object is to stay on the oval skating track without running into another sskater….this takes concentration to make graceful turns…otherwise there is a wall to prevent just overshooting the rink and sail off into the unknown. The walls are good for speed control, too

I guess without the walls you could wheel right out of the building, down the street and off for miles.

it is vital to control the speed to avoid breaking something…the wall, or an arm…
