she said that is her favorite song that she wrote…and the Southwest is god’s country…think she got that from me. She is a free spirit, like me, I admire her very much.

next week she and my daughter (her aunt) are going to visit my grandson (her cousin,) who is in prison down in central Ohio. It’s a long trip, about 3 1/2 hours each way…we let Jeri drive, and it is a joy to be with her all day. She and the grandson are the most like me in thought and beliefs…left-wing far-out. Long story…

-grin- I thought I saw a resemblance.

Jeri is really my idol…her life is her music, writing songs and performing. She told me she probably would have made more money as an accountant…but that’s no life for her. She once told me that I am the coolest person she knows, and that’s saying a lot. My leftist beliefs have a strong vein in the family, or not.

She’s a good ‘kid’ and has to courage to be happy. Not many people do.

she just turned 30. My youngest grand will be 21 in a couple of weeks.

Wow…my Offspring is 30 as well. Hard to believe how quickly that happened.

we are from different generations. In the 50’s even if girls were “college bound” their main goal was to find “a man” and get married. Most men that we all knew were in the military, or realized that they were subject to the draft. Besides my husband, who was in the army, my other serious “possibilities” were: an air force fighter pilot; and former navy sailor.

Wow…I had no idea, but when you say it like that, of course. I was the generation after the war, well after /that/ war anyway.

one of my friends planned her graduation party and her wedding simultaneously…two weeks difference. I was one of her bridesmaids. She went to nursing school soon after she graduated high school, and I think after her wedding.

-nods- I started uni in 1970? or 71, can’t remember exactly now, but I do remember thinking I was over the hill at 24 and unmarried.
Nowadays no one thinks twice about waiting until their 30’s.

Windows Photo Gallery…. freebie photo software. This last time when I went to load it to my new PC it informed me that PhotoGallery is no longer available on new machines, and I was unable to install it. (my conspiracy-theory mind thinks it is a ruse because PG worked so nicely that they decided to sell it at a price.
It was replaced by “Photos” which is good, except that I screw up somewhere between the camera and the image editor. This is some torture instrument of Windows10. I’ve been thinking I should go back to my laptop with Windows7 and use PhotoGallery. Scream….

Hmm…it’s either incompatible or…they want to make money out of it. Really don’t know what to suggest. 😦
