I wish I had taken photos of our cats. Back then, a miser didn’t waste film on ordinary things. My photos now are almost all in the ordinary category.

I know, my “film” shots were rationed and expensive; not the film itself so much as the developing. My late husband did do a lot of photography though, and I have lots of albums full. The kids and grandkids ransack the albums often, or did when they were younger.

I wouldn’t be surprised if my miserliness began when I used film.

I was always worried about running out of film, some of the jungles I traveled didn’t have a film store on every corner 🙂 Those cameras were much heavier than the little machines now.

Thanks for reminding me that you led a very adventurous life.

yeah, unfortunately I am no longer agile enough to pursue any “adventure,” always try to avoid falling on my face. Some decent shoes might help 🙂

After knee surgery, I wore only sneakers and haven’t looked back. I can still trip, but I haven’t fallen.

in all my life the ONLY comfortable shoes I have ever worn are Crocs. I have a weird bone thing on my left foot, not a bunion, some kind of deformed toe bone. The instep of most shoes is too tight across that lump and has always caused pain. I can walk and stand in my Crocs, but I admit that they have contributed to my falling on my face (literally) because they are so roomy…oxymoronic maybe because roomy is what I want.

I had Croc imitations that were very comfortable. They didn’t make me fall, though.

What made me trip was that there is so much room in the toe and difficult to judge safe step when stepping over obstacles. That said, Crocs are still my go-to walking and standing shoes. Except for one thing…I like to wear them all year around, and sometimes with socks…as in with winter fleece-lined ones..so I need a larger size for that use. Also I hate the feeling of the regular Crocs with bare feet because of the little prickly thing on the sole. However there is a new version of Crocs that has a better feeling sole, much smaller holes, and a smoother fit.

Good luck getting just the right Croc for yourself!

LOL there aren’t that many choices, actually. I like them because they last forever. I admit I do tend to make a really big deal out of things.

Don’t we all make a big deal out of things?

I guess so…it just seems the thing to do. 🙂

only nerds wear socks with their Crocs, I’m told.

Well, I wouldn’t know that. Must make me a nerd, too!

I too had some from Joanne Fabrics that were good, and lasted a long time.

We especially have a zillion pictures of our goats, back in the day. And pictures of the farm.

They’re so sleek and happy. Love Bob. He looks so much like our Mickey. And little Callie is adorable. 🙂

yes and yes. Bob is a sweetie, so is Callie. Bob was very vulnerable because of his cerebellar dysplasia, he falls over at the drop of a leaf. Callie is a tough little gal, already making her way in the world under her Mom’s influence.

Yes Bob ran out when the door was open this morning, but I scared him back in. He doesn’t run fast enough to escape a potential predator, although he can out-run me. 🙂

Yeah, that’s always the fear, isn’t it? 😦

The new flooring is installed in the living room. The bare walls and windows are beckoning to be painted or at least cleaned. There are assorted chips and bumps in the paint, some patching required. The cats had to stay in the basement during the glueing and pounding, and when they came back up they were suspicious. Pearl looked like she was in attack mode, Toby failed to be embarrassed when he was accused of peeing in the corner over the years…”not me” he says. Bob loves the new floor. Sister and Dottie could not care less and just wanted to go outside.
