Peggy is a nice cat. Although she is an outdoor cat, we had her fixed because she had deformed kittens with Bob’s tumbling-kitten syndrome, and we wanted to spare her any more. She’s Bob’s mom.
Peggy wasn’t a “tumbler” herself, but more than one litter of kittens either died or were rescued (Bob the latter) very soon after they were born…swimmers…unable to walk. She took care of all of her “kids” though, I’ll give her that. 🙂
that’s why we had Peggy “fixed” after I adopted Bob…who still falls over if someone looks at him funny. I really want to write a post about Bob’s Dad, who was certainly Peggy’s “significant other.”

Lovely photos but which one is Peggy? Is she the mother of Bob?

Aaaah! She’s a pretty little thing, although maybe a bit scruffy around the edges. 🙂

Peggy is pretty, she once had the option of moving into the house, but declined. An outdoor girl. 🙂

Bob is such a sweetie. I guess he inherited more than just the tumbling from his Mum. 🙂

It sounds as if the gene is a recessive, or a combination of recessives. Poor little mother. 😦
