That was fast! I never quite get how I can get a reaction to a post I try to ping within seconds… I’ve somehow lost some of my blogging smarts I think. Thanks for the fast comment!

I”m still having issues with my postings, changed my browser because of related problems. I haven’t slowed down on the shoots, just on the posting pics to the blog.

Thanks. I was looking for something from you. I’m waiting for my Daylilies to bloom. The roses outdid themselves again, I need to trim them up so they can bloom again.

I don’t know why but I, or at least WordPress, seem to have an on again off again relationship with your comment section. Sometimes it works just fine, other times it’s a fiddle or doesn’t work at all.
Anyway, I wish my summer garden looked half as lovely as yours. 🙂

I confess that my individual blossoms that look so pretty are standouts from a lot of disarray. lol That’s the beauty of digital cameras, it makes it much easier to get good pics.

-grin- thanks for that. Now I feel a lot better about /my/ disarray!

Ha! talk about disarray. That’s my middle name. Did you happen to see where tRump held a rally at our county Fair Grounds? My son in Minnesota sent me a message that said “please tell me that you are not going anywhere near the Fair grounds.” Which is only about 20 miles from where we live. Back in the day when I was a reporter for the CT I would have been there with bells on! I think I chatted with you yesterday about the tRump event. The Republican whackos were there…the governor, lieutenant governor, one of our Senators—all Republicans– were not there.

lol – I’m glad you weren’t there too! A lot of commentators, here at least, are predicting that the GOP will split into the nutters and ordinary conservatives. I can’t imagine how a lot of middle of the road Republicans must feel about where their party is heading. 😦

The fact is that the Republicans (from McConnell on down) are scared to death of tRump. And the reason is: his IDIOT BASE…sorry for shouting, but its true. The tRump Cult is dangerous. The Idiot Base is formidable. One woman yesterday was quoted as saying that she will believe tRump isn’t the real president when: “Jesus comes back and tells me personally that he lost the election.”
The so-called middle=of=the-road Repulicans walk their tightropes, but any nay-sayers against tRump are lethal threats. Consider the Alaska Senator Lisa Makowski. The tRump forces are targeting her BIG in Alaska trying to defeat her in the primary next year.
Barr (ex-AG) is now going around talking about how he knew tRump’s claims of election fraud were BS…he says the word. Now locally, here in Ohio, our two senators are Republican Rob Portman…. and Dem Sherrod Brown, who I know personally based on his involvement ever since 1976, when our late-great Congressman Don Pease was running for the current term as US Rep. Sherrod Brown was just moving up into the national elections thing. Also when I returned from one of trips to Chiapas, Mexico, I wrote about my experience visiting a ‘maquiladora” in Chiapas….which sewed sweaters and other high-end clothing like Tommy Hilfiger an Gap. Someone told Sherrod Brown about my write-up and he called me and said it was a good source in his (Brown’s) anti-NAFTA business.
Anyway, Rob Portman is our other Ohio Senator, and he unfortunately is not running again. Cryptically, he said somethings about the deterioration of the R party and the sick crap the Republicans, especially the tRumpies, constantly throw against him. The Idiot Base can and does do genuine damage.
NO I am not a Portman-supporter….but I would bet money that the Republicans will find someone reallllly bad to replace him. Come to think of it, my late BFF Dorothy speculated that she sort of liked Portman…some of these Republicans are not really Bad Bad Bad when they are freed of cow-towing to tRump.

Ugh, the picture you paint is truly horrifying. So basically if you’re a republican philosophically, and want to ‘survive’, you have to placate the idiot base? That is so scary because it’s exactly the same picture that certain countries I won’t name went through on their way to something very undemocratic. 😦

It’s not just my version of the climate here…I don’t really want to discuss it here in these comments.

It is so bad that it sounds like a bad dream. The damage done to our great nation is beyond recognition…thanks to the idiot-base that believes in fantasy and lies.

The US really is split, isn’t it? 😦

Yes, we are severely divided. We always have been, it’s just that the tRump cult has made it worse.
