three petals and counting

Cee’s Challenge for the week: flowers with three petals. This Daylily from last season really has the requisite six petals, but she posed as a trio for the occasion. I can’t wait for Daylily Season 2022. I saved seeds last fall from all of the twelve (or so) plants that I have. We’ll see what develops.

I searched my photo archives looking for a three-petal flower. I have thousands of images, and didn’t turn up a three-petal specimen for this post.

    1. i thought so, too. The photo of hat particular blossom on the plant had that triangular look. It looked like three petals, but actually not. Oh I figured out the 2-petal challenge. I think Cee entered her “one-petal” post to Becky’s “squares” challenge. I thought I saw an entry regarding the two-petal though… we (you and I, Cee, Becky) are parts of a much larger group here that inter-posts. Goes back to 2012 when I started with WordPress.

      1. You predate me. I started in 2013. I think we started following each other way back then. You had to point out to me that you were “Grad” mama and not Grandmama.

      2. Many of my blogging pals came from those classes. I did several, including two poetry, photography, fiction, and others. The classes were limited, voluntary, interactive…I loved them! I’ll bet that you were on a followers list somewhere. The classes were limited, as WP was swamped with interest. They were guided by Happiness Engineers… One of the “requirements” was to visit other bloggers, so the circle just grew through likes and comments.

      3. The “circles” also served as help sites, older members jumping in to help newbies with all sorts of WP projects. At the start of each session there would be an Introduction outlining the two-weeks theme or “assignment.” Or members could do whatever they wanted to, or nothing…no pressure to follow any rules.

      4. Really. We do sort of interact among us, I think, but those “classes” were structured and informally run by WP staffers. Example…in the Poetry segment the re was a specific poetry type and a loose assignment for a week.

  1. I can’t find this challenge anywhere on Cee’s blog.. Can you send me a link, please, Gradmama? I looked through thousands of photos of flowers and finally found two that had three petals but can’t find where to link them.

      1. I think Cee continued with it, I like the idea. I have been a slacker when it comes to posting lately, I have had problems with my computer…not the internet. I’m sick of snow, too. 🙂
